Less than a month after electing new directors, the Federation of Basque Entities in Argentina published the list of workshops that it will sponsor this year. In hopes of optimizing resources, other activities will take place parallel to the workshops, namely, dance, Basque music, leadership training, pelota and gastronomy. The first event will take place in Cañuelas this weekend so attendance needs to be confirmed by tomorrow, Tuesday the 27th. The next events will take place in Villa Maria and in September in Macachin.

Buenos Aires, Argentina.  On May 31st and June 1st Cañuelas, in the province of Buenos Aires, will host the first group of workshops sponsored by FEVA.  Organized jointly with Denak Bat, the participant reception will take place on Saturday the 31st at 2pm at the Basque club where various activities will take place.

The proposal for the event, in hopes of optimizing resources, is to host five workshops simultaneously on topics such as: dance, Basque music, leadership training, pelota and gastronomy.

Deadline to enroll is tomorrow Tuesday, May 27th and it should be done via an email to FEVA.  Basque clubs can send participants for one or all of the workshops, specifying in each case who will be attending what.  In the same way, name and last name and ID number of each will be required.  Participants will be lodged at SMATA and the events will conclude with a farewell lunch on Sunday.

Upcoming FEVA workshops, as decided at the last board of director’s meeting “prioritize the lowest budgets and trying to cover different geographic areas,” the weekend of August 9-10, the event will take place in Villa Maria and on September 13-14 in Macachin.  Following this weekend’s model in Cañuelas, five workshops will be offered in the other two cities as well.

The same topics will be developed at each place and FEVA will then evaluate the best received out of the topics offered.  Finally, FEVA will cover food and lodging expenses while travel will be up to each Basque club individually.
