Buenos Aires, Argentina. “Txapela,” the new natural cider in Argentina invites lovers of Basque food customs to enjoy “Cider Month.” From June 5-July 4 various restaurants in Argentina will provide a typical sagardotegi menu and Basque cider with cod or haddock tortilla, txuleton with the main course garnish; and for dessert cheese, quince and walnuts.  A menu that is paired with Txapela cider served directly from kupelas to the sounds of “Txotx!”

“Cider Month” can be enjoyed at the following restaurants; those wishing to partake should make reservations:

-June 5, 21hs, Restaurante Zazpirak Bat, Rosario (FacebookInstagram)
-June 20, 21hs, Sagardi, Buenos Aires (FacebookInstagram)
-June 26, 21hs, Burzako Restoran, Temperley (FacebookInstagram)
-July 4, 21hs, Amalur, Buenos Aires (FacebookInstagram)

Xabier Aguirre, director of “Txapela,” and of Patagonia-Astigarraga SAS, showed his special satisfaction for the initiative to EuskalKultura.com, “We are very happy about the proposal.  With the typical menu, that each restaurant will add its touch to, the natural cider, each of these evenings will truly become cider houses in the Basque Country!”

Txapela Cider is a product of Patagonia-Astigarraga SAS in Argentina and the Otaño-Goikoetxea, is a consolidated cider family in the Basque Country that runs the Petritegi Cider House.  More information about Txapela, here
