The original design was done by Manuel Ignacio Campoamor Ascacibar, member of the Gure Ametza Basque club in Rio Cuarto, Cordoba and it will be used on all of the promotional materials for the 25th anniversary of Argentinan Euskaraz.  The image combines the number 25 with the colors of the Basque and Argentinean flags. 

Buenos Aires, Argentina.   The program for training local Basque teachers in and for Argentina “Argentinan Euskaraz” is celebrating twenty-five years and the euskaltzales there are getting ready to participate in the activities that will be held all year round.  Organizes from Argentina by various institutions and sponsored by HABE, the calendar of events will conclude in December with a huge International Day of Euskera celebration.

In the meantime, some activities have already taken place, like choosing the original design that will be included on all of the festivities’ materials.  The result of the contest organized by FEVA was Manuel Ignacio Campoamor Ascacibar, being named the winner from the Gure Ametza club in Rio Cuarto.

In the words its creator, “This logo combines the colorful with dynamic figures formed by the Basque number 25, and a trapeze that appears as the background.  Inside are the colors red, white and green corresponding to the Basque Country and the blue and white from Argentina, along with a yellow sun.  The font is classic Basque and energized by its similar inclinations to the figure above and below, “sin Serif,” to express the serious and concise way to express what represents the 25^th anniversary of Argetina Euskaraz.”

Manuel I. Campoamor Ascacibar is 28 years old and is the secretary of his Basque club in Rio Cuarto where he also works with pelota and is studying Basque.
