Basque teacher at the Beti Aurrera Basque Club, Marta Invernoz passed away on October 6th as a result of pneumonia provoked by COVID-19. Although there was no wake, the funeral procession stopped for a few minutes at the Gernika Plaza in front of the Euskal Etxea where students and friends were able to say goodbye to their irakasle, and the institution’s cultural reference.

As part of its Dantzari Day festivities at the Euzko Alkartasuna Basque Club in Macachin, they gave their dantzaris masks with Basque motifs: small lauburus in red, green and white with the dance groups name, Gure Ametza (sic).
