Successful launch of Basque Argentine “Txapela” cider in Rosario; the next presentations will be in Cañuelas and Buenos Aires

The Gure Etxea Basque Club in Tandil begins its Girls’ Pelota Paleta School with a local female instructor

Girls’ Pelota Paleta School The centennial fronton at the Euskal Etxea in Tandil will open its doors to women who would like to learn and play this traditional Basque sport.  Classes will take place Monday-Friday from 1-5pm, twice a week, with the scheduled being coordinated by the instructor, Tina Corbal.  Corbal is originally from De La Garma, but was trained in the discipline at the Tandil Basque Club.

“Women and Equality” workshop at the Toki Eder Basque Club in Jose C. Paz As part of the extended activities to commemorate International Women’s Day, the Toki Eder Basque Club held its first workshop “Women and Equality.” The activity, taught by club member Paula Basaldua aimed among other things to “give visibility to challenges that make an egalitarian and inclusive society possible for all,” club sources said.
