The Jon Bilbao Chair at the University of Nevada, Reno was created in 2014 promoted by the Etxepare Institute, with the support of the University of Deusto, the Directorate for the Basque Community Abroad of the Basque Government and NABO, the federation of North American Basque organizations Its goal is to promote the study and research about the Basque Diaspora. Professor Pedro J. Oiarzabal is its first holder.
