Bits of history

A large majority of Basques who emigrated to the Western United States did so initially to work as sheepherders. For many families, sheep wagons are a part of their family experience and people enjoy seeing and visiting them, inside and out, taking pictures next to them at events like this to remind themselves of their past, and their Basque-American history.
