For making the Basque culture their own

Even if they are not of Basque descent, it was their chose to make the customs and traditions of their husbands their own and work at their side to disseminate it. That is why Dolly Bártoli de Arregui, Teresa Di Santo de Erbiti, María Inés Ferreira de Arregui, Maria Mercedes Lavandeira de Irizar and Elisa Sanchez de Artolazabal were honored at this year's International Women's Day festivities (foto EE).
