Two locally important events took place in Chascomus, Argentina during the month of October. On the one hand, the 23rd edition of the Basque Festival, organized by the local Basque club was held, and on the other, the Immigrants Day also took place with an extensive program of events. Outside of the city and on the sports front, the Basque club was also very well represented by its youth: pelotaris Lorenzo Vázquez and Estanislao Alfonsín had a great showing at the VIII World Under-22 division for Basque Pilota in Uruguay.
