Bristol, England. A young couple residing in Bristol, she is Basque and he is English, are looking for an Au Pair. Both are professionals and have a 15-month-old and an 8 year old (that is only at home part-time). They are looking for a Basque speaker, regardless the age or gender, but this person does need to be a willing, responsible and imaginative person who works well with children. English proficiency is not required, but a basic level that allows communication with the father and the 8-year-old son is welcomed. The position is to begin in September, initially for a year, with the possibility of an extension.
The eligible person will have his/her own room and the workweek is comprised of 30 hours, weekends free, with enough time for taking English classes, or other activities. The house has a yard and it 20-25 minutes on foot to downtown Bristol, well connected by public transport, or even by bicycle. The family is not part of the BAPAA (British Au Pair Agencies Association), but shares its action guidelines and recommendations. The economic conditions will be discussed in person, and besides a weekly salary, a 65 pound monthly transportation card will be included.
