General Acha, Argentina.  With the beginning of the year, the Euzko Txokoa has published its large program of activities for 2014.  The proposal is directed to the entire community, especially to kids and adolescents.  Among the sports that they will be able to participate in at their facilities are introductory sports classes for kids between the ages of 3-5, skating, taekwondo, basketball, handball and gymnastics.

It is also important to emphasize that thanks to work done in 2012 by the club, swimming and other water sports will also continue throughout the year in the Basque club’s heated pool.

The Euzko Txokoa also has a trinket, and so houses activities that are more directly linked to the Basque culture as well with its intense pilota/paleta program that includes classes, on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 133:45-14:45.  They also hold tournaments like the one that took place last weekend and was won by Daniel Fernandez and Fabio Garcia, followed by Banano Alcalde and Marcelo Ziaurriz.

In regards to Basque dance, they also are part of the many offerings at the Euzko Txokoa.  After summer vacation, practice will begin on March 8^th and will take place on Saturdays from 9:30-10:30, and dancers of all ages are invited to attend.

Finally, and also looking towards 2014, directors and friends of the center have an important task at hand with the organization of the festivities that will exceed the limits of the club as well as the city. On the one hand, the Euzko Txokoa will return to its clubhouse in May with the Provincial Veal Feast that will celebrate its 42^nd edition this year.  On the other, while celebrating its 49^th anniversary, the club started on its 50^th anniversary celebration.  The board of directors is inviting anyone interested to help plan.  For contact information visit the club’s Facebook page.
