The cultural get-together “Mexico and Euskadi: a Roundtrip Journey” will take place on November 26

The Society Bascongada of the Friends of the Basque Country in Mexico and the Historic Archive “Jose Maria Basagoiti Noriega” at the College of Saint Ignatius Loyola, “Vizcainas,” in DF will host a cultural event on November 26 between Mexico and Euskadi that will be “a space for reflection and diffusion of Basque in the Mexican lands.”  The conference will discuss the Basque-Navarre presence, music, fine arts, food and several historic personalities, among other topics. 

Mexico City, Mexico.  The historic College of Saint Ignatius Loyola, known as the Vizcainas, will be the site of a large cultural get-together that will analyze the relationship between the Basque Country and Mexico, on November 26.  According to organizers, “the scope of the event is wide: from the Basque-Navarre presence that created the College of the Vizcainas in the 18th century, via music, fine arts, notable personalities, food, and to the latest achievements of the Delegation of the Basque Government in Mexico.

During the event Tomas Barrientos Fortes (Anáhuac University) will also be inducted into the Society Bascongada of the Friends of the Basque Country.
