The tradition gets stronger and stronger every year, with the wave of red neckerchiefs starts in Pamplona and reaches to Argentina to cover the streets and the Basque and Navarran clubs all over the country. These festival dates include in Argentina July 9th (public holiday, Argentinean Independence Day) so the festivities have always left a space for the blue and white to join in on San Fermin.

Buenos Aires, Argentina.  The Basque community in Argentina is currently enjoying various activities to celebrate San Fermin, and while the festivities have reached their climax in Pamplona, revelers in Argentina join in on the festivities and long days in Pamplona thanks to the Basque and Navarran clubs.  Images of San Fermin are taking over social media and celebrations in Argentina are no different.  Following a small example of the phenomena:

[The Centro Navarro in Buenos Aires has carried out an intense program including mass and a meeting at the clubhouse, where many good pintxos and typical dances were enjoyed.  On Wednesday, the 9th, the traditional festival was held with a txupinazo from the balcony and a banquet.  Gigantes and life marching music accompanied the dantzaris in their dances in the streets and in the afternoon, the music and dance show took place after lunch (photosEE)]

[Activities at the Eusko Biltzar in Coronel Pringles were many and varied.  In order to celebrate San Fermin and Argentina’s Independence Day, the center inaugurated the exhibit “Hay Vuelta de Hoja” with the dantzaris and local Mayor, Carlos Oreste.  During the event club president, Jose Olasagastia also addressed the crowd saying “As we celebrate Independence Day, in a distant future the Basque Country will also soon celebrate its July 9th" (photoEE)]
