Olga Leiciaga reelected as president of the Eusko Etxea in Corpus Christi who will present two new story books soon

Corpus Christi, Argentina. After a year in which meetings were restricted and in which the stipulations of the Statute could not be complied with, finally last April, 18 a main group members of the Eusko Etxea in the missionary city of Corpus Christi held their annual meeting to hold elections for the board of directors, following all health protocols.  Olga Leiciaga was re-elected Presidents as part of the board comprised of the following individuals:

-President: Olga Rosa Leiciaga
-Vice-president: Julio N. Markiewicz
-Secretary: Nilda Coman
-Pro-Secretary: Ramón A. Cukla
-Treasurer: Carmen Delia Miranda
-Pro-treasurer: Ana María Macchi Echagüe

-Directors: Orlando R. Benítez; Ramona Melgarejo
-Alternate: César Arrondo

-Auditors: Miguel Gómez; Norma Solar
-Alternates: Luz M. Benítez Maidana; Alicia Chamorro

Fifteen months have passed since quarantine was established in Argentina; the reality of the Basque club in Corpus Christi is so complete, like other others in the country.  Nevertheless, the club is characterized by is efforts and its capacity for work and to carry on, always paying attention to take care and follow restrictions in its activities.

In regards to this, they have already published Anecdotario y Reflejos de una pandemia (Anecdotes and Reflections on a Pandemic), that includes texts submitted for its Literary Contests 2019-2020, organized by the club.  The date to present this book will be announced soon.

To raise money to allow the club to function, a group of women at the club will prepare and sell fresh pasta every two weeks.  The group, led by Mary Melgarejo de Casco, also includes Gladys Ferragut, Rocío y Carmen Miranda, Ana María Macchi and Olga Leiciaga.

In regards to the virtual, Elisa Goya is still training as a Basqe teacher as part of the Euskara Munduan program, and Mariangeles Rosciani represented the club at the FEVA workshops on dance and children.
