Aberri Eguna was celebrated throughout the entire month of April in Argentina; the calendar of events that began on April 3 and 4 with the Dantzari Get-Together in Cañuelas was complemented by activities in other cities, organized by local Basque clubs.  Following is a summary and photos of the final events carried out in honor of Day of the Basque Homeland.

Buenos Aires, Argentina.   Even if it is a sustained feeling, the Basque community in Argentina expresses their Basqueness in a special way on Aberri Eguna.  To do so, there are various cultural manifestations during the festivities.  Dancing, music, food…..There are also institutions that hold tributes and recognize individuals on this special date.  In the case of Zazpirak Bat in Rosario, this is usually when the club’s 'mayor' is elected.  This year it went to Luis Maria Barrandeguy.  At Laurak Bat, Aberri Eguna 2016 was also a going away party for the man that used to take care of the clubhouse, Oscar “Pocho” Arias.
