As part of the award’s ceremony the children from Corpus Christi's Basque Club theater group performed a skit and the winners of the contest were also present to read a part of their texts.  An announcement was also made at the event that there is hopes of publishing an anthology 2015 and that an “Amazing Stories VIII” is also foreseen.

Corpus Christi, Argentina.   Invited by the Corpus Christi Basque club in the province of Misiones, the 7th edition of the Literary Contest “Amazing Stories,” was very well received by literary fans and in just a few months gathered four hundred entries, some even sent from abroad.

There were only 18 winners, nine in each category, with first, second and third places being awarded in each category, and several more receiving special mention. The best of the entries will be gathered, as in previous years, and the Yupanqui Atahualpa Library is hoping to create a paper or digital version of those.

The award’s ceremony took place on September 6 at the Eusko Etxea and began with a welcome from club president, Julio Nestor Markiewicz Ferragut.  Next, the children from the Lagun Artean theater gropu performed a skit called “The Message of Yasy Yateré,” written and directed by members of the group.

When the awards were presented, winners who were able to travel to Corpus Christi read their texts.  There was also a tribute to Marta Macchi Echague who not only received a copy of the Anthology of the stories from 2011, but was also invited to join in next year’s jury for the contest to be held in 2016.
