In response to the request from various euskal etxeas, the Zingirako Euskaldunak club in Argentina has extended the application period for Udaleku 2012 until December 13th, Tuesday of next week. The event is aimed at kids between the ages of 11 and 16, and will take place January 4-8, 2012 in Chascomus. As prior camps, the goal is for teens to get to know each other while learning more about different expressions of Basque culture. Anyone interested should contact the members of the euskal etxea at the contact information listed below.

Chascomus, Argentina.  In South America it is vacation time and so the Zingirako Euskaldunak Basque club has opened the application period for the IV edition of Udaleku – summer camp – geared for children between the ages of 11 and 16.  The camp will take place between January 4th and 8th in Chascomus, and with 20 participants already enrolled, the organizers have extended the deadline to December 13th, so that anyone who really wants to participate gets the chance to do so.

A month away from the fourth edition of Udaleku, the Basque club would like to express its thanks and appreciation to the Provincial Government of Gipuzkoa, especially to Ikerne Badiola, Deputy of Culture, and to Roke Akizu Director of External Relations and Tourism,  for their confidence in the project.

The cost of Udaleku 2012 will be $350 per participant, unless living more than 500 kms from Chascomus, and in that case the tuition cost will be $250.  Registration will be confirmed once the $100 deposit is received.  All deposits should be made following the steps outlined below:
