We continue with news about this year’s Euskera Eguna celebrations around the world. In South American Basque clubs Euskera Day festivities often coincide with the end of the year celebration. Many clubs commemorate them December 3rd, while others do so throughout the month. “How?” There are many ways but mostly it is done by organizing games and activities in Basque. From La Plata to Santiago, let's check how students, professors and friends of the Basques celebrated on both sides of the Andes.

Buenos Aires, Argentina.  With temperatures above 30° Celsius, with few blank notebook pages, exams and evaluations…2013 came to an end and bringing the possibility of taking a brake.  In many South American clubs, the activities diminish considerably during the summer months (January, February, March) so that members can get some well-deserved rest.  Right before that, however, they celebrate the Day of Euskera and take advantage of this important date to say farewell to the year and close up operations.  In the following lines, some more of the celebrations that took place in Argentina in Azul, at the Goierri Association in La Plata, in Laprida, Mendoza, Necochea and Tandil as well as in Santiago, Chile.
