Buenos Aires, Argentina.  Maria Ubarretxena, Director of Social Economy for the Basque Government and Javier Goienetxea, President of the Confederation of Cooperatives in Euskadi – Konfekoop, will visit Argentina this week, according to the Delegation of the Basque Country there.

Their agenda includes participating in the First Santa Fe Conference on Cooperatives that will take place in the capital of this province.  During their brief visit, Ubarretxena and Goienetxea will also give presentations in Buenos Aires and La Plata.  The activities, that are open to the public will begin tomorrow and continue the day after, according to the following program:

-Tuesday June 3^rd, 18:00hs: Roundtable on Cooperative Cooperate – Confederation of the Republic of Argentina.  “Basque Cooperativism, Dialogue with Argentina.” Directions: Maipú 267 18º. Buenos Aires. Free and open to the public.

-Wednesday June 4th – 10-1:00pm. Presentation on, “The Basque Cooperative Experience,” in the Senate Chambers of the Province of Buenos Aires, located on Calle 51, between 7th and 8th in La Plata.  RSVP to halbisu@senado-ba.gov.ar or by phone (0221) 429-1292.  You can also RSVP to the Delegation of Euskadi in Argentina (011) 4120 0586/88/90.  Certificates of attendance will be provided.  Free and open to the public.
