Thanks to the collaboration of the Basque Cultural Institute (Euskal Kultur Erakundea – EKE) and the Etxepare Basque Institute, you can now download and online version in three languages (Basque, French and English) of the book Basque Classical Music. Written by Professor at the University of the Basque Country, Karlos Sanchez Ekiza, the book provides a tour through the history of Basque classical music. The book was translated into French by Kattalin Totorika. Other titles in the collection EuskalKultural Saila can also be downloaded.
Uztaritze, Lapurdi. The new title in the collection Euskal Kultural Saila can now be downloaded in French, thanks to the collaboration between the EKE and the Etxepare Basque Institute. It is called Basque Classical Music, written by University of the Basque Country Professor, Karlos Sanchez Ekiza. The book can be downloaded in Basque, French and English.
This now makes five books in the Euskal Kultura Saila collection from the Etxepare Institute translated into French with the collaboration of the EKE. In 2013, they translated and published online versions of three titles, and a fourth in 2014. These are Euskal dantza (Basque Dance) by Oier Araolaza; Euskal Kantagintza (Basque Song) by Jon Eskisabel; Euskal zinema (Basque Cinema) by Joxean Fernandez and "XX. mendeko euskal literatura" (20th Century Basque Literature) by Estibalitz Ezkerra.
The goal of the collection is to provide up to date information that is attractive and rigorous on Basque creation. It hopes to facilitate access to anyone wishing to know more about Basque culture. It is comprised of twelve books on various themes, like Basque, music, dance, literature, film and bertsolaritza, among others.
