Long time Buffalo, WY resident Rosalia 'Rosita' Maya Ibarra was born in the Basque town of Sunbilla, in Navarre, on August 22, 1931.

She was awarded and introduced in 1997 to the Society of Basque Studies in America's (SBSA) Hall of Fame for her voluntary work at the KBBS Buffalo Basque Program

Mass of Christian Burial for Rosalia Ibarra, 93-year-old Buffalo resident who passed away quietly at her home in Buffalo on Monday will be celebrated in September at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, at a time and date to be announced later with Father Bryce Lungren as celebrant.

A Vigil service will be held at the Harness Funeral Home Chapel.

Donations in Rosalia’s memory may be made to the Suzie Bowling Lawrence Hospice at 497 W. Lott Street in Buffalo. Online condolences may be at www.harnessfuneralhome.com.
