Born in Irisarri (Lower Navarre) and emigrated to California, he married and formed a family in Chino with his loved Therese (Paris) Aphessetche. Xavier Aphessetche, 86, passed away on Tuesday, January 22.

He was a very dear, generous person, who won the affection of many. Fond of pelota, he built the Aphessetche trinquet in Chino, CA. Very fond of singing and Basque bertsolaritza, he had a prodigious memory and was able to sing and recite entire stories, in the traditional Basque way.

Services: Viewing will begin at 6 p.m. followed by a Rosary on Friday, February 1st at 7 p.m. at St. Margaret Mary Church (12686 Central Ave., Chino). Mass at 9 a.m. on Saturday, February 2nd, St. Margaret Mary Church. The interment will be at 11am at Bellevue Memorial Park, 1240 W. G Street, Ontario, CA.

Our deepest and most sincere condolences especially to his daughter Cathy, sons-in-law and grandchildren, and to all his family and friends in Europe and the US.
