Sabin Landaluce Jr.

03/24/2021 - Boise, ID, USA

March 23, 1949 - March 24, 2021

Sabin Landaluce, Jr. passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on March 24, 2021.

Sabin is preceded in death by his grandparents, father (Sabin Landaluce Sr.), mother (Milagros Landaluce) and loyal dog, Greko.

Sabin was an energetic spring baby born on March 23, 1949 in Mungia, Bizkaia Spain. He was the first born of three boys. Sabin immigrated to America in 1957 with his mother and younger brother (Luis), joining their father in Boise, Idaho.

Sabin attended Longfellow Elementary, North Junior High and Boise High School class of 68'. Sabin was a natural athlete, playing basketball and baseball at Boise High School. He received a baseball scholarship to Boise State College where he studied pre-engineering, and he worked as an inspector for the City's Public Works Department.

His knack for sports invigorated him in later years when he played fast-pitch softball for Vic's Pie Shop and the Boise Metros.

In his free time, he selflessly taught his kids and grandkids anything he could about sports, life, and the great outdoors. He took every opportunity to mentor the youth about their future goals. If you knew a thing about Sabin, you knew his kids were never limited to blood. He was everyone's dad.

Sabin loved hunting and fishing almost as much as he loved his family and friends. He was an avid outdoorsman, making yearly trips to Alaska with his beloved fishing and hunting buddies. Sabin was a calm spirit who always knew how to enjoy the moment. With his boyish laugh he could permeate the room. He loved watching old Westerns and Sci-Fi B Movies. He enjoyed cooking his mother's Basque recipes for his family and friends.

Sabin is survived by his wife Noni, his brothers Luis (Joy) and Josu (Royce); sons Mark, Tom (Lynette) and Ric; grandchildren, Josie, Luke, Toby, Collin, Jordyn, Hazel and great-granddaughter, Nora. Sabin is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and life-long friends.

A graveside service will be held at Dry Creek Cemetery on Friday, April 2, 2021 at 2:00pm. To attend the service virtually, please visit: https://www.bowmanfuneral.com/livestream/ Password: bowmanlive
