Linda (Miller) Ybaizabal (August 7, 1950 - November 21, 2025)

11/21/2025 - Elko, Nevada, USA

Linda Lou Miller Ybarzabal passed away unexpectedly, surrounded by family and friends, on November 21, 2025, at the age of 75. She was born on August 7, 1950, in Salt Lake City, to Bob and Arlene Miller. Her brother Dan joined the family in 1954, and thereafter they moved to Elko. A 1968 graduate of Elko High School, Linda was crowned Homecoming Queen during her senior year. The same year, Linda married Tom Owsley, and together they had 2 sons, Jeff and Kirk Owsley.

Linda met the love of her life, Julian Ybarzabal in 1973 and together they created a loving partnership that spanned decades. They welcomed their son Jon in 1979. The couple made their home in Salt Lake, where Linda worked at First Interstate Bank. They returned to Elko in 1985, and Linda went to work at Frontier Title, now Stewart Title, where she worked for many years until her retirement in 2014.

Linda treasured her roles as a daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother. She adored her grandsons, Mitchell and Kyle Owsley, and has always been their biggest fan and supporter. Linda's family loved spending time together, and everyone always looked forward to her home-cooked meals and their favorite gumdrop cookies at Christmastime.

In her spare time, Linda enjoyed camping and fishing. A talented crafter, Linda found joy in creating with her hands, a passion she pursued throughout her life, ranging from stained glass pieces to crochet. She had a remarkable eye for home decor and was the go-to advisor for family and friends. She also had a fondness for discovering the latest QVC gadgets, always on the lookout for something clever or useful.

Most of all, Linda was known for her selfless heart. She always put her friends and family first, offering her time, her love, and her support without hesitation. Her generosity and warmth touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents Bob and Arlene Miller, and husband Julian. She is survived by her sons Jeff (D'Aun) Owsley, Kirk (Barbara) Owsley, and Jon (Lauren) Ybarzabal, grandchildren Mitchell Owsley and Kyle Owsley, brother Dan (Cindy) Miller, nieces Jodi (Hayward) May and Kari Miller, nephew Joe (Maddy) Miller, Uncle Dr. George Manilla, and numerous cousins.

Linda will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Please join us in celebrating her life on December 12th at 1:00 p.m. at The Lostra Warehouse, 225 6th Street, Elko, NV. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the charitable organization of your choice.
