A native of the Basque town of Ortzaize-Ossès, Jean Pierre Petrissans passed away the Basque Country, where he has been living this last year, with his daughter Sylvie.

Jean Pierre has been all his life an active and well-known member of the Basque community. First based in San Francisco, he married Catherine Petrissans (+ 2016) and they moved to Los Banos, where they ran the La Casa motel, first, and then the Bonanza restaurant.

He was the father of three children: Sylvie (Jean Michel) Brust, Gilbert Petrissans, and George (Tiffany) Petrissans; and the grandfather of six: Maika, Antton, Mattin, Joey, Maiya, and Jack. We will provide details about the funeral as soon as we get the family's obituary.
