Jose "Big Joe" Miguel Lete, 53, of Mountain Home, passed away Saturday, November 13, 2021 surrounded by family and the love of his life Diana Likens. Cremation was under the care of Rost Funeral Home in Mountain Home.

The eldest son of 3 children, Jose was born on May 8, 1968, in Jerome, to Katherine and Jose Lete.

Jose attended school in Jerome and Chehalis, Washington, where he excelled in social studies, science, art, music and band. He later attended Job Corps in Washington State, participating and learning skills in welding and firefighting.

Jose was the adventurous type. He worked in many job positions including fast food, security, bounty hunter and karaoke DJ in the Washington and Idaho areas.
Jose loved people, talking to them, and helping them. He participated in archery, Mexican Folk dancing, was an Idaho Civil War Volunteer, and liked going to the Basque Festival to celebrate his heritage. His hobbies were traveling, camping, reading the bible, Louis L. Amour westerns, and watching his favorite TV series "Arrow", attending Christian worship concerts and karaoke. Now karaoke was an interest Jose loved. On Saturday nights, you would find him at the local club singing Chris LeDoux, George Strait, Gospel, Blues and rap.

Jose is survived by his father Jose Maria Lete and wife Marilyn, brothers Juan Lete and wife Patricia, Tony Lete and Joey Lete and husband Andy, his sisters Louella Lete and Tonya Tenney and husband Andy; nephews Trevor and Ashton Tenney and Hunter Lete, nieces Kara and Alicia Lete, and the love of his life Diana Likens.

Jose is proceeded in death by his mother Katherine Henley, grandparents Charles and Ella Mae Henley and Neves and Juan Lete, Great grandparents Tinsley and Emily Lamb (Ruby) and his faithful companions Tuffy and Briget.
