Edwin John Elordi Lotz Jr, passed away on July 16th, 2021 peacefully in his home, surrounded by his loved-ones at the age of 77.

John was born in Boise, Idaho on May 13, 1944. He was Basque and spent most of his time in Jordan Valley, Oregon at our family Sheep Camp. John also served in the US Army for four years. After moving back to Othello, Washington he fell in love and married Carolyn J. Payne on April 13th, 1970. Here he raised his family and worked at Hilmes Construction for over twenty years. He enjoyed watching sports, fishing, hunting, and collecting arrowheads. John had a really good sense of humor that made the whole room laugh.

John predeceased by his parents, Anna and Melvin Metzer; his father Edwin John Lotz; Sister, Carlota Aden; Brother, Doug Lotz; Step-son, Jessie White; Niece, Julia Laufenberg. He is survived by his wife Carolyn Lotz; Daughter, Marie Lotz; Son, Melvin Lotz; Son-in-law, Moses Lopez; Daughter-in-law, Chandra Lotz; Sisters, Gloria Kanenwisher and Jessica Jahns; Brother, Eldon Metzer; Six grandkids, nine great-grand kids, numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

A funeral service is scheduled for 3 p.m on December 11th at the Othello Christian Church in Othello, Washington with Pastor Adam Janes officiating.
