Anita Louise (Elicegui) Williams of Sparks, Nevada passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 5, 2026. Anita was a proud, native Nevadan with Spanish-Basque heritage. She was born on May 19, 1926, to Martin and Bienbenida (Rubio) Elicegui in Ely, Nevada.

Anita was raised in Boone Springs, formerly a small rest stop between Ely and Wells, Nevada. At a young age, Anita was boarded with various families in Ely to further her education and ultimately graduated from White Pine High School in 1944.

Following graduation, she worked for Dr. Oliver Wallace, DDS and on August 26, 1946, she married Leon Williams in Ely, Nevada at the Sacred Heart Church. Anita and Leon moved to McGill, Nevada in 1952 and in 1958 relocated to Sparks, Nevada, where they raised their family and made Sparks their permanent home.

Anita was a devoted stay-at-home mother but also worked nights at St. Mary's Hospital when her daughters were in early adolescence. When her daughters were older, she re-entered the workforce, bringing her dedication and kindness to Frontier of the Faith and various banking institutions until her well-deserved retirement.

Anita was a woman of remarkable strength, determination and capable of overcoming any of life's obstacles. She was an avid gardener, a wonderful cook and baker, she possessed a deep love for her dogs and liked reading various genres of books. She had a lifelong passion for fishing, so much so that getting her to leave a good fishing hole was almost impossible! Anita generously donated to several charities during her lifetime, including the Catholic Church and various cancer charities throughout the United States.

Anita is survived by her daughters, Vicki Foster, Alana Williams and Gloria Williams-Montani. Three grandchildren, Jarod Lankford-Williams, Bryon Baker and Vanessa Kelly; and her four great-grandchildren, Shelby Christie, Casey Baker, Aspen Kelly, and Logan Kelly. She is also survived by her dear sisters-in-law, Mabyn Elicegui and Mary Lou Elicegui; many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will miss her dearly.

Anita was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Williams, as well as multiple very cherished relatives and friends.

According to Anita's wishes, there will be no formal services. She received her celebration of life on her milestone 100th birthday party surrounded by 60 of her beloved relatives and friends. Instead, she would wish for you to live a happy and a good life, love your dog, go fishing, and read a great book in her honor. And to always remember, "I Love You More".
