Chivilcoy, Argentina. The Beti Aurrera Basque Club and SADE – Argentine Society of Writers in Chivilcoy have just launched the 9th edition of their National Literary Contest “Gernikako Arbola.” Like other years, the proposal is aimed at people over 18 years of age residing in the country, with free genre and themes. Each participant may submit just one text, which may be a poem or poetic prose that does not exceed an A4 page, in Spanish that has previously not been published.
Deadline to submit works is September 7th. The jury is comprised of prestigious personalities in literature and will publish the results no later than 30 days from the deadline. The awards ceremony will take place on the second Thursday of December at the clubhouse.
Due to these times of quarantine, the organization asks that everyone submit their works via email. They have also provided phones numbers to respond to questions or provide more information. This is without a doubt an excellent proposal to put your creativity to work, just pick up a pen.
