Sydney, Australia / Mexico City, Mexico. Today is the last installment including videos from the Olentzero at Basque clubs in different countries. With two last videos, from Mexico and Sydney. In a previous article we talked about Sydney, but now we can show you the video. In the case of Mexico City, this is a video with the Olentzero explaining to the children that due to the pandemic, he could not make his usual visit, but that he is still firm in his intention and spirit, and waiting for the time when things get back to normal.

In Mexico City, the Olentzero talks to us from his friend’s house, Juanjo Arrieta from Oronoz, Baztan. He does so in Euskera and Spanish, recommending the use of masks and assures them that next year they will meet in person.
Finally, the Basque club in Bordeaux usually organizes its Olentzero party in January. However, due t the pandemic, the event has been postponed until next year.
