Donostia-San Sebastián. The 17th Lau Haizetara Documentary Co-Production Forum in Donostia will take place September 21-21, 2021 as part of the 69th edition of San Sebastian’s Zinemaldia Festival. This forum offers an ideal space to publicize your documentary project to potential funders, and experts form the audiovisual and film sector. It is a meeting point for professionals in the sector linked to the documentary genre. The deadline to register projects is June 18th.
The forum includes three prominent phases:
- Workshops. These are training activities that take place two days prior to the forum (September 21 and 22). They offer producers the opportunity to develop their projects with professional experts who will provide the appropriate tools to extract the greatest potential from them. Coordinated by Catherine Ulmer and Ventura Durall. They will take place at the Kutxa rooms at the Tabakalera, International Center for Contemporary Culture in San Sebastian.
- Pitching. The pitching session will take place in the morning of September 23rd at the Kursaal Palace and producers will present their projects before a prominent Commissioning Editors panel. This event will have an expert moderator on the subject and a simultaneous translation service. The projects can be presented in English and Spanish and the presentation time of each will be 7 minutes (teaser included).
- Individual Meetings. The program will be accompanied by a series of parallel activities that will try to bring the public closer to the European cinematographic and cultural reality.
