Bahía Blanca, Argentina. B nai B rith-Filial Bahía Blanca and the Union Vasca Basque Club in Bahia Blanca will paid tribute to the Basque city of Vitoria-Gasteiz this afternoon, for “being true to its word and fulfilling a promise of protection of the Jewish Cemetery for more than 500 years when the Jews were expulsed in 1492.” The event will take place at 7:30pm this afternoon at the Union Vasca Basque Club with the participation of the Rikudim of the Israeli Association and the Beti Aurrera dance group from the Union Vasca.

The event has been named “Act of Accomplished Promise,” and will consist of a tribute by the B nai Brith Filial Bahía Blanca “Dr. Cesar Milstein,” and Union Vasca.  When societies are divided into non-existent antagonisms promoting discrimination, the convening organizations highlight the act of true religious coexistence, as noted in the announcement sent by the organization to EuskalKultura.eus.
